WSP reminds drivers the penalties for driving with a suspended license
PASCO, Wash. - Washington State Troopers want to remind you of the penalties you can face if you're caught driving with a suspended license.
Not only is it illegal to drive with a suspended license but troopers say it’s dangerous for other drivers.
If you're caught driving with a suspended license the first time, you'll likely get a citation but the penalties get more severe the more times you're caught including higher fines and even jail time.
Washington State troopers say it's important to take care of all traffic violations regardless of state.
"People in general travel to different states to visit family. If your suspended in a different state with a different license, your suspended in Washington and every state."
Washington State troopers also recommend checking online with the department of transportation to make sure your driving record is clear.
