Young girl killed in rollover crash
Franklin County, Wash. -- A seven-year-old girl was killed in one of the many crashes across the Mid-Columbia Basin during a winter storm.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on state highway 395.
Troopers say a truck driven by Crystal Sullivan, 34, rolled over onto the shoulder near the Country Mercantile Store.
Brynn Sullivan, 7, of Moses Lake, died at the scene of the crash.
Troopers are still investigating the crash, but a report says Sullivan was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Three other children inside the truck at the time of the crash were buckled in and were not hurt.
The crash report says Sullivan was also wearing a seat belt but was injured in the crash.
Medics rushed Sullivan to Kadlec for treatment.
According to the crash report, Troopers say Sullivan was driving too fast for the treacherous conditions.
Charges in the crash are pending.
