Charidy Caldwell

Ever since high school, I had an idea that doing news or weather would be so much fun. I enjoy the details of stories and always finding that spark in something, and as for weather, I grew up with the forecast on quite frequently. Now I'm so happy to be here starting my career with KEPR/KIMA not only working as a reporter, but also as a weather anchor.

I graduated in May 2023 from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, as well as a certificate in Broadcast Journalism. There, I was an anchor and reporter for TCU News Now during my junior year. Being from a suburb of Dallas called The Colony, TCU was only about an hour from home. That was very important to me because of my love of being home and spending time with my family. I have two younger sisters, fun fact: all of our names start with "Ch!"

During my free time, I enjoy going to the gym and weight training, trying new restaurants because I'm such a foodie, and spending time with my dog Spice! He is a chiweenie! Back home I have 4 dogs and 1 cat, so animals have always been a big and important part of my life. I am proud to say I am a big advocate for animals and choose to only shop cruelty free as well! I also am a pescatarian so no BBQ for me, even being from the Lone Star State!

I'm looking forward to this new journey on the West Coast!
