A native of Grand Coulee, Cody returned to the Evergreen State to work at KIMA/KEPR in September of 2016.

Before making the move, she worked for 4+ years in Montana, first as an anchor at Montana Public Radio for a year, then as a reporter and the weekend anchor at KRTV in Great Falls. It was at KRTV that Cody refined her craft by reporting on education and the military. Two of the biggest stories she covered included the transition of the Montana Air National Guard from F-15 fighter jets to C-130 cargo planes, as well as the alleged cheating scandal at Malmstrom Air Force Base that involved a large portion of Airmen overseeing ICBM missiles.

Before starting her professional career, Cody attended both Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming and the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. She competed on the rodeo team with a scholarship at each school. At one point she qualified for the College National Finals in breakaway roping. Cody graduated from UM with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism and an entertainment management certificate.

On her days off from her work, Cody is off exploring the back roads, the small towns, the festivals and the incredible scenery that Eastern Washington has to offer. Contact her at with any tips or story ideas!
