Jefferson Donovan joins the KEPR and KIMA teams as a meteorologist.
Hailing from the small town of Brady located near the Washington coastline, Jefferson is no stranger to big storms. However, after living through an historic windstorm in December 2007 now known as the “Great Coastal Gale of 2007,” he decided that studying and working with the weather was his true call. After spending two years at Grays Harbor College, Jefferson followed his passion to the University of Washington where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Atmospheric Sciences degree in June 2018.
After graduating, Jefferson eventually found himself as a meteorologist at KDRV Newswatch 12 in Medford, Oregon where he served as a meteorologist on both weekends and weekday mornings. After spending three years in southern Oregon, Jefferson is thrilled to return to the Evergreen State as a meteorologist for KEPR and KIMA.
When he is not studying the latest weather models, Jefferson enjoys watching sports, going to dirt track races, and driving long distances on country roads.
