Mike McCabe

Mike McCabe grew up in Selah. He is married and has two beautiful daughters. When he is not working he enjoys cooking, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Mike became interested in the weather and wanted to be a weatherman ever since his mother took him to tour a local TV station in Yakima. While in high school he attended the Skill Center and began working at KIMA in production where he learned about all the behind the scenes details.

Mike left KIMA to pursue his college education and found a job in radio in Lewiston, Idaho. In 1996, he was hired by KLEW as a part-time weather anchor - finally doing what he always dreamed of.

In 1998, he moved back to Yakima working the morning and noon shows at KIMA. After 9/11 his job changed to weekends and reporting three days a week.

In 2005, the morning show returned, so he transferred to KEPR. In 2008, Mike became the main weather anchor for the 5, 6 and 11 o'clock newscasts.
